Bloodborne Pathogen Training

Course Registration

On December 6, 1991, the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board adopted the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard, Title 8: General Industry Safety Orders, Article 109, Section 5193. This Standard was revised in 1999 and again in 2001.

The scope and application of this standard applies to all occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials.

The Standard requires that all employees with occupational exposure participate in a training program at the time of initial assignment to tasks where occupational exposure may take place and at least annually thereafter.

This class is offered along with the Airborne Pathogen Training Class to comply with CDC recommendations for those employees with occupational exposure to Tuberculosis (see Airborne Pathogen Training)

Please use the Course Registration form (above) to schedule classes - include your Dept. name, phone/employee/ stop #'s for certificate mailing. Please be advised, there will be NO ADMITTANCE if more than 20 minutes late!

Failure to attend, send replacement, or give 48 hr notice will result in your Dept. being charged a $25 NO-SHOW fee.
