First-Aid and CPR Training

Course Registration

This class is offered to help meet Title 8, CCR, General Industry Safety Orders, Section 3400 and County Safety Policy 7001, requirements for having adequately trained personnel in First-Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) at your work sites. Work sites must have adequately trained people to render First-Aid if no clinic or hospital is in near proximity. The Division of Occupational Safety & Health has interpreted near proximity to be four minutes.

This program will utilize the American Red Cross Community First-Aid & Safety Course criteria. The information presented is a hands-on approach, which is required by American Red Cross.

Dress comfortably in jeans or pants, as some practice skills require being on the floor.

There is a thirty-dollar ($30) fee charged per student by American Red Cross. The fee pays for processing the First-Aid/CPR cards and the Participant's Booklet for each student.
