The County Safety Office is sponsoring the presentation of a training course entitled Supervisors Reasonable Suspicion Training. This class is required for all Managers who supervise “safety sensitive employees”, as defined by the Department of Transportation (DOT). This class covers signs and symptoms of impairment caused by Drugs and Alcohol and the County’s Policy for referral of these employees for testing. This class also covers the mandated requirements of the DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Program, including pre-employment, random and post accident testing.
This training course is designed to provide Supervision with some basic knowledge about specific DOT Regulations of importance to them, of specific required safety activities that must be accomplished and their potential culpability under the law for failure to execute their safety responsibilities.
